tabs with bulleted and non bulleted text

I am using PPT 2002 and I have a slide that contains both bulleted and non
bulleted text. when I add the bulleted text and the tabs are added, I am
forced to have to tab the non bulleted text in the document as well, and I do
not want to do this. I have tried everything I can think of to move the text
on its own use the tab stops and no success. I want the non bulleted text to
be set to the left without indents or tabs and the bulleted text to have the
tab between the bullet and the text. I would appreciate any help.

Angelica,
You do not need tabstops to achieve what you are after, if I am
understanding you correctly.
Is this text in a placeholder or is it text in a textbox?
If it is the former, type in all the text with bullets, then select all
paragraphs which do not need them and hit the bullets button on the
formatting toolbar.
If it's the latter, and you are using the Format - bullets and numbering
option (that is you are not inserting the bullets yourself). Type all the
text in your textbox, drag the bottom two carats on the ruler to achieve
your indent, then select all paragraphs which do not need a bullet and hit
the bullets button on the formatting toolbar.
