Tabs no longer display in IE6 with MSN Search toolbar

This feature was working until a couple weeks ago and now the tabs have
disappeared even though tabbed browsing is turned on in the toobar settings.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled both Internet Explorer and the MSN Search
toolbar several times.

Any ideas on how to resolve this are appreciated. Other browsers are not an
option because freeware/download sites are blocked by my corporate firewall.

Hi Gary. I am making alot of guesses here.
1. Check that you have third party Browser Helpers enabled (Internet
Options\Advanced tab)
2. There is a limit of 16 toolbars that you can display on the IE toolbar.
Do you have more? - Uninstall any you don't want.
3. Reset your toolbar layout. You can do this manually by deleting the
ITBarLayout value on the following key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser

You can try http://www.iecustomizer.com/ITBarLayoutDownload.htm

It will apply a toolbar reset to the shell and theatre browser toolbars as
well.

I have uninstalled all the extra toolbars and add-ons and reset the toolbar
using the ITBarLayout tool. I have third party browser helpers enabled, and
the MSN Search Toolbar and Helper are also enabled. Tabbed browsing is
turned on in the toolbar settings. I have also verified that the form filler
and highlight features of the toolbar appear to be working properly.

I have found a couple other threads where this seams to be a common issue
and we are all experiencing the same problem. It looks like it effects
varying versions of the MSN Search Toolbar. I have version 2.05.
