Tables, Cells, and text wrapping

One of my co-workers is having a problem with text wrap in tables on one of
her web pages. The text is not wrapping in the cells and portions of it
disappear. I've checked the cell properties and the no wrap checkbox is not
checked. I've tried incerasing the width of the cell and that does not help
either. The web page in question is at
http://www.cnhousing.org/storymain.htm

I noticed that there are two cells with nothing in them. Could this be
causing the problem? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

This is because the main table she's using for page layout has a fixed width
of 516 pixels. That table doesn't get narrower just because the right edge of
the browser window starts to overlap.

I was seeing (actually not seeing) text disappearing after she tried to paste
a picture in one of the cells that was larger than the cell. It pushed the
right hand cells to the right and the text no longer wrapped but
disappearred. Since that post I went back to a previous version of the page;
shrunk the picture down to a size that would fit the cell and pasted it in.
The original web site was designed by a local web design firm and we don't
get much support from them any longer. We aren't to happy with the way that
aprticular page was designed. I may redo it without the table and just wrap
the text around the pictures. IT won't have such large amounts of white space
then.
Thanks both of you for your input.

I think that's a better approach. I hate to see such wasted white-space on
a web page....

Hi Charlie,

Would you mind to describe it more details. e.g. which HTML authoring tool
are using, which browser will be affected by your modification. If you can,
please make a problem page and post it on the web for us to take a look! (use
another file name, e.g. problem.htm)
