Table view

SQL Server (as well as others) have table "views" which one can create and
utilize for various reasons. Does Access have such a function?

I want to join several tables into a "view" which will then be linked to
another db.

Access does not have Views. It does have Saved Queries, but these cannot be
linked into another database. You'll have to link the tables individually
and create a Saved Query in the target database.

Use the Queries tab of the Database window.

"Queries" covers both views and stored procedures.
