Table oOf Contents does not change All Caps

J

Juhani Vainio

To my heading 2 styles I have included All Caps. That works OK, when I
apply style to paragraph, it changes All Caps.

The problem is in TOC. When I make TOC, it does not obey me. The
heading there stays low.

Hey Gurus, do you know why?

You can fix this problem in one of two ways:

1. Type your Heading 2 text in all caps, instead of formatting it that
way in Format | Font. If you type in all caps, the TOC should appear
that way too.

2. Modify your TOC 2 style so that it is formatted as all caps in
Format | Font.

G'Day Juhani,

The Styles used in the TOC are NOT Heading styles,
but are associated with them.

The TOC Styles are called TOC 1, TOC 2, .......TOC 9.

Normally TOC 1 is used for Heading 1 Text (in the TOC),
TOC 2 is used for Heading 2 Text .....etc etc.

TRY:
Insert > Reference > Index and Tables ...
Table of Contents (Tab)
Modify (Button lower right)
Select the TOC style of interest
Modify (Button right side) _ _ _ _

Search Word Help for "modify toc style" for
more details.
