Table of Contents Woes

R

Ross Payne

I'm attempting to create a table of contents based on run-in heads in my
Word 2003 document. The paragraphs of the document are all formatted with
paragraph styles that include numbering. The run-in heads are all formatted
with character styles (for example, all caps, bold). I know that I can
insert a style separator after each the run-in head, but from there I am
lost. How do I set up the TOC? Thanks,

Ross Payne

If you want Word to pick up the TOC entries, they'll need to be applied as
paragraph, not character, styles.
