Table of Contents

Me

Confusion reigns. I am inserting a table of contents
(using Styles). Most of the table is ok, except for some
of the entries, which align the wrong way around (i.e.
instead of

[Heading #] [Heading Name] [Page #]

I get

[Page #] [Heading Name] [Heading #]

This document was originally created with MS Word Arabic,
so it might relate to that, but I have changed the
language settings, the text direction and everything else
I could think of in both the Heading Style and the TOC
Style - nothing works! As stated, this problem does not
occur for all the entries in the TOC.

Any ideas?

Hi Me,

Almost certainly related to the document having been created
in Arabic (right-to-left). A couple of things to try occur
to me:

1. Delete the TOC field and have Word create a new one (or
copy what's between the { brackets }, delete the field,
press Ctrl+F9 to insert a new pair of brackets, then paste)

2. If that doesn't work, try copying everything EXCEPT the
last paragraph mark (and except any section breaks) into a
new document.
