Table of Contents not in order I want

My Table of Contents does not match the order in which my
navigation structure is laid out. I have 20 pages on my
site. All are labeled (page).dwt as they are dynamic web
templates. The only exception is index.htm

1) Per someone's suggestion, I opened up a page and then
viewed it on a browser, noting that the table of contents
order was wrong (not matching my navigation structure)

2) I copied the html into Word and revised it to match my
navigation structure

3) I then deleted the offending webbot on a website page
and pasted in the corrected webbot. Looked at it in the
browser and was correct now -- great! So far so good BUT...

4) no matter how many pages I correct, I eventually try
to "save". A window pops up and says (I'm paraphrasing) "A
more recent version of this page was saved to your server
(5 minutes ago) Do you want to replace it?" If I say yes,
it saves, but erases all of the changes I just made. UGH!
If I say no, the "save as" window pops up for some reason
which is forcing me to save again. What do I do? Thanks
for the tips.

Recalculate your hyperlinks it won't match because FrontPage had not been
told about the changes. ALWAYS recalculate after edits before publishing.
Also recalculate live on the server once in a while.

It also makes for a quicker publish.

Tina, I am pretty green at this. Could you explain
in "baby terms" what you are suggesting? Thanks a bunch.

1) You don't "correct" webbots by editing them (especially outside of FP)
2) You don't edit pages saved as .dwt outside of FP
3) You don't make a web of 20 .dwt (Dynamic Web Templates) pages

You make 1 Dynamic Web Template page
(not part of your web structure or navigation in a _hidden folder - say _template)
You make additional .htm pages and apply the DWT to these html pages
See

If you use a TOC webbot it will use the sequence in your Navigation View, but will add pages based on links in your pages, starting
w/ your home page
