Table of Contents/Automatically Putting in the Word Chapter

M

Maryellen

Good Afternoon,
I am not sure that this can be done, however, you never know.

I have a rather large document that has a table of contents created
with it.

The table of contents creates without a problem

What I Would like the Table of Contents to do -- is automatically
count the chapter for me, so I don't have to add Chapter 1,Chapter 2,
etc into the text. I'd like the Table of Contents to do that for me.

ie - I have 27 chapters, each item that should have the word chapter
followed by a number is in the same style sheet that the table oc
contents recognizes.

Now when I create the table of contents, I see - Chapter 1 appear
before my text

Thanks muchly

Add "Chapter #" numbering to the TOC 1 (or appropriate level) style.
