Table Error

I am getting an error message, and cannot even open the data form, although I
can access the table. My error message is: “The Microsoft Jet database
engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to
change the same data at the same time.â€

Our database is in Access 2000. It is a shared database…we have 3 users. I
can get into the table, and I can identify the record that is causing us a
problem. I have tried to delete that record, but couldn’t do it. I created
a new form using the same table. I can open the new form; however, I am
still having the same problem with this form as I was with the old form. I
cannot do a filter in 2 different fields, specifically my “notes†box and my
“address change†box. I can filter in every other field, but these 2 are the
problem children. In the table I have 1 record that has “ERROR†in the notes
field and “DELETE†in the address change field.

Close the database on each user's machine. Look on the server for any LDB
files and delete them. Look on each local machine and delete any LDB files
that you find. Reopen the database and do a repair and compact. If
necessary, (it probably won't be) delete the record causing the problem.
