Table Design Subdatasheet Name....

In Access 2000, leaving that as [Auto] slowed Access 2000
significantly. Changing that to [None] increased speed
significantly.

Is this still an issue in Access 2003? NOTE: Changing
[Auto] to [None] does NOT save.

Thoughts?

Bob,

Yes, it is still an issue with Access 2003. To change it from [Auto] to
[None], under Tools|Options|General, uncheck 'Track name AutoCorrect info',
click okay, close the database and reopen. Now change [Auto] to [None], it
should work. (And you really don't want 'Track name AutoCorrect info'
checked anyway, it has it's own issues.

I knew about the "...Name AutoCorrect", but didn't know it had to be set
before the Table change "[Auto] to [None]" would stay saved.
