table borders

is there a way to set the default properties on a 'new page' so that the
table does NOT have any borders? I always have a 1pt border that I have to
go in and constantly change each time I put a table in

Yeppers...

Next time you create a table set the settings the way you want them then look down at the bottom left of that properties box you're in, you'll see Set----Set as Default for New Tables (something like that)...put a check there and yer done!
