Apart from Notepad Lite and EditPad Lite, are there any small tabbed text
editors out there?

Thank you

Thanks for the links, guys. I guess I made a mistake with my original
request for a small tabbed editor. What I *really* need is a small text
editor that opens multiple text files with tabs, so I can easily switch from
one file to another. I know of EditPad lite and the others, but I am looking
for a really neat little notepad replacement as an alternative.

Textedit?

"MS Windows NT/2000/XP (does NOT work with 95/98/ME!)"

I'm looking too. Can not use above due to my older OS.

This one doesn't specify which Win versions, but it is a very fine
editor that Bob Adkins found. It also does not have tabs, but
File/Recent Files pops up any document you have been working with, and
is essentially the same as tabs.

BDV Notepad:

"It is comfortable text editor, which can replace a standard Windows
Notepad. In this program are combined extended functionality,
convenient habitual interface, flexible adjustment and all of this is
absolutely free-of-charge."

No install; dl, unzip, and run.

If it doesn't match your needs someone else might like to try it out.

I use notespad.exe which is a freeware notepad replacement and
will edit files much larger than notepad can handle.

Bremer Corporation, version 8.

I like this one. Have been using it for years:

Notespad http://www.newbie.net/NotesPad/

I'd back that up, works just as it say's on the tin..just what you asked for
anyway, about 10 tabs of open or recent docs at top to be clicked to as
needed.
