Tab/Outline

Normally when you press tab while working w/bullets,
numbering or outlines, word will indent the entire bullet
and create a new level. When i press tab, the bullet
remains in the same place and the cursor tabs. Anyone
have any idea how to fix this?

Word 2000 and earlier: Check the box for "Tabs and backspace set left
indent" on the Edit tab of Tools | Options.

Word 2002 and above: Check the box for "Set left- and first-indent with tabs
and backspaces on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect
Options.

Thank you so much, I know it seemed trivial but I'm
working on a 50 Page outline, it makes a big difference.
Thanks.
