Tab key doesn't promote/demote in outline

Within outlines, the tab key is no longer promoting or demoting sub headings.
Is there some setting that deals with this?
 
You betcha! Choose Tools - AutoCorrect Options - AutoFormat as You Type.
Click to enable the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and backspaces"
option.
