tab key behavior in slide show mode

I have two objects that link to other slides in my presentation. I want a
user to be able to navigate through the slide show with the tab key (and
enter key). It works fine but there is always an unselected "phase" in the
process. Pressing the tab key select the first object. Pressing the tab key
again select the second object. Pressing the tab key again deselect de second
objet. Pressing the tab key again select the first object. I would like the
third tab key hit to select the first object again without the unselected
phase. Is it possible ?

I work with PowerPoint 2003. I'm doing a slide show for a student with a
mental disability and it would be easier to understand the use of the tab key.

Thank you for your help,

Christine./

Hi Christine

As I guess you know the tab key will "select" buttons with actions /
hyperlinks in turn and the enter key activate the selected button. As you say
there will be a none selected phase.

Here's a slightly ugly workaround to avoid the none selected phase.

Instead of two buttons for example have maybe 10 (or more) with 1,3,5,7 etc
having one action and 2,4,6,8 .. the other. The buttons should be
superimposed to look like one button each. This is easy to do with copy /
paste and align.
