T-shirt Transfer Paper and Laser Printers?

H

Hank

Hello,

I was wondering if it's possible to use a laser printer to print out
images on iron-on tshirt transfer paper? I was pretty sure that such
paper was only made for ink jet printers but a guy at a local copy
store told me that laser printers could also do the job. Has anyone
had any experience with transfer paper?

Thanks in advance,
H

Yup. Do a Google search. And in fact, I believe Canon sells the paper
for their color copiers.

Won't work. The fuser will activate the transfer material.

Yes there is laser oriented t-shirt transfer paper. How do you think all the
BIG guys make those custom T-shirts and other picture oriented things you
see on the photo sites? Certainly not ink jet. How do I know? I worked for
'MadeToOrder.com' during the go-go years.

Not certain who makes it now, but a simple search will get you there.

One of the issues, I remember, is that there are different color shifts in
laser paper vs ink jet. Not that different ink jet papers DON'T have
differences, just that the laser paper seemed to be more obvious. We even
had a disclaimer that mentioned it and the suggestion that for volume orders
they request a sample to judge the quality first.
