Sytem restore unsucessful after restoration

After restoring the computer to any restore point, the message comes up saying 'No changes have been made to your computer' and 'System restore was unable to restore your previous settings' Any help? Oh, and I have a virus, that I supposedly removed, but an error appears saying that I have a new virus, whilst System Restoring.

Turn off system restore by double clicking my computer select restore tab and check box - turn off system restore. Reboot then do same procedure except turn restore on. This will clear system restore and the virus within. You will not have any restore points for the next couple of days, this is normal. Good luck.

Right clicking and choosing properties generally works better than dbl clicking.
