I have W-XP home edition, In the Documents and Settings folder, there are
several files (All Users, All users.Windows, Chuck Moss, Chuck Moss.CHUCK,
CHUCKM~1~CHU, Default User, Default User.Windows, HelpAssistant,
LocalService, LocalService.NTAUTHORITY, NetworkService and
NetworkService.NTAUTHORITY. I am the only user (Chuck Moss). Which ones do I
need to keep and how do I get rid of the rest of them?
Please Help and be specific as possible as I am a novice.
Thanks

If you are a novice, it's better not try to delete unnecessary folders from
Documents and Settings. That list of folder names indicates you have
reinstalled windows. The first install created folders All Users, Chuck
Moss, Default User, HelpAssistant, LocalService, NetworkService. Reinstall
created those other folders. So in theory those folders in first list are
not necessary. But they don't consume much space, so why bother to delete
them anyway.

Thanks for your help, the reason I want to delete some of them is that I heve
so many duplications, such as duplicate pictures in four or five different
folders.
Please advise as to how to delete the ones you say can be deleted.
Thanks

Chuck Moss
