Systemworks nightmare

I just loaded Norton Systemworks 2003 into my Aunt's laptop. I kept coming
up with an OBC invalid page fault in kernel32.DLL...you know...one of those!
So, I decided to uninstall Systemworks from the uninstall in the control
panel as stated by Symantec and it also comes up with an NMAIN invalid page
fault. This is like being stuck on the mountain...can't go up and can't get
down. Can anyone help me uninstall this beast or can you direct me to the
right newsgroup for help? Symantec is out for the weekend and I'm sure with
the worm they are swamped anyway.
I appreciate any help...Thanks

How to use the Norton SystemWorks cleanup utility (SymClean)

Download and run the above Symantec cleanup utility, reboot your computer,
logon with Administrator privileges, then proceed to install Norton 2002 or 2003
only.

Wrong.
How to use Norton (or McAfee): Don't. Ever. Nothing that tries to be a 'do
all' will *ever* be good at it.
