Systems Hangs (XP Pro)

My PC Hangs if I try to open My Documents folder when
using Windows Explorer and double click it from the left
hand frame (pane) Please help!

Could be a few things:

1. If you connect to the internet:
a) www.pandasoftware.com (run active scan)
b) www.download.com (download/install/run Ad-Aware)
c) Do Disk Cleanup (My Comp/croperties/disk cleanup)

2. If your PC is a little out of date
a) is it rather dusty inside?
b) Do the fans appear to be functioning properly?
c) Is your computer located close to a radiator or heater
d) Check that your PC meets XP's Miniimum Requirements
e) if not upgrade to get there
f) increase the size of your swap file

3. If your PC is new
a) back up necessary stuff on CD
b) Format and reinstall operating system

Or you may have a corrupted folder or something within the
folder is corrupt. Try creating a new folder named My
Documents and make sure it opens, then try to copy the
contents from your old "My Documents" into the new one and
see if the new one opens. If the new one opens fine just
rename the old folder.
