Folks,
Got a wierd problem that has started occurring in the last couple of weeks:
From a cmd prompt tprgrams are not being found. The PATH appears to be set
correctly. In Control Panel -> Syustem it looks OK and I certainly ahvent
changed it manually. From a cmd prompt it looks like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\adam>path
PATH=%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program
Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control
Panel;C:\PROGRA~1\GNU\WINCVS~1.3\CVSNT;C:\Program Files\Executive
Software\Diskeeper\;D:\MySQL\bin;
However none of ther programs in %SystemRoot%\system32 can be found from a
DOS command. e.g. xcopy:
C:\Documents and Settings\adam>xcopy
'xcopy' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable
program or batch file.
It looms to me like %SystemRoot% is not being resolved correctly.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas how to fix?
TIA - Adam
