I did this and get a response that this script cannot repair my issue, the
expected registry value was not found. What am I doing wrong, or do I have
another issue. Please help.

When I clicked on the link and went to line 260 it brought up another window
asking me to save or open I saved to my desk top and went to open it, it
gives me this message:

" xp_system32opens.vbs, Publisher: unkown, Type: VBScript Script File, From:
C:\Docoments and Settings\Desktop.

I click on the open button & get this window telling me " This script cannot
repair your issue. The expected Registry value was not found."

It doesn't matter what version it is, the script ran successfully and reported that it can't find the expected registry entry (the
SB2 autorun key). There's some other problem.

Debbie, make sure the window is closed then reboot. Does it still come back? Run the Folder Options applet in the Control Panel.
Click the View tab and toggle the "Remember each folder's view settings" checkbox in the list (on->off/off->on) and click OK. Now
close the System32 window if it's open and reboot. Anything?

Alec,

No this did not work. What would you suspect is going on? do you think you
can help anymore?

The most likely explanation is that you have a program that is trying to auto-run at startup, but the entry has been corrupted or
was incorrectly written. As a result, instead of launching the program, only part of the filename is executed (the folder) which
causes it to open System32.

Get a copy of Sysinternal's Autoruns. Run it and wait for it to finish scanning then save a copy of the list and include it in your
reply. I'll take a look and see if there's a bad entry.

Alec,
Sorry took so long to get back, anyway I ran this and I actually can see now
what you mean, I unchecked quit a few that I did not want to run, this is a
great program, but being that I am not a computer wiz, I was not sure about
the system 32 folder, Unfortunetly this discussion web page will not allow me
to copy and paste anything onto my reply to you, do you possibly have an
email address I could send this to?
