Before you reply to this post, please do a search for "docboy209" in this
catagory and read all that I've done to try and fix this thing. I've been
working with "Nutcase" for a while now and he can't seem to fix it. Anybody
else got any ideas?

When I boot my computer the system32 folder pops-up on the screen.

No, I will not waste my time searching for your previous messages. Instead,
you learn how to thread your messages. And while you're at it, learn how to
search for information on the internet.

Hi docboy209,

Try this:

Using Explorer(and not the Start Menu), look at the desktop.ini file in your
Startup folder (C:\Documents and Settings\(your login account name)\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup). It is hidden, so through Folder Options in Control
Panel, go to the View tab, choose to "Show hidden files and folders", and
also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files". Open the desktop.ini.
It should read

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

Also navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup\desktop.ini. It should read the same as above. If
neither desktop.ini's don't, copy and paste the above two lines so that they
do match the above. Close Notepad and save your changes, if you had to make
any.

Hope this helps,
Dean

Hi Dean,

Thanks for the reply. All of the desktop.ini files I could find already
contain the info you provided.

Dear Ted,

Stick it up your a$$. Dean was nice enough to look it up, and he gave me
something I haven't tried yet, it still didn't work though. The internet has
given me many different things to try, and none of them worked. That's why I
am here you jacka$$.
