SYSTEM32 FILE

I keep getting an annoying message from my firewall that the following file
is trying to establish an Internet connection. Does anyone recognize this? I
tried to delete the file but can't. any ideas? using XP Pro

Most likely a Trojan. Delete the file.

What trojan did your updated anti-virus report?

It's one of those trojans that creates random named files, which the
nasty boys use to prevent searches/removal tools. Mostly easy to remove
tho, using anti-virus in safe mode.

Not really. File names don't mean anything because they can vary.
An anti-virus detects malware according to its virus pattern, usually.
Mostly easy to remove tho, using anti-virus in safe mode.

Unless you don't know what trojan has been found in particular, that
statement isn't correct. An anti-virus can remove the virulent files,
however, it cannot detect and remove created backdoors.

What I meant was doing a search for the filename on google, etc. ie to
find one of those special removal packs. Yes I understand that
anti-virus apps dont care about the filename.
