system32\drivers\pci.sys message

I had already physically removed the pci graphic card that I was trying to
install but I still get this message. I have decided to live with the
on-board graphic and as such how do I go about trying to start my Win Xp
normally. When I boot up, it gives me the Safe Mode menu and all the options
will bring me back to the same S.M. menu. The LKGC will bring about the xp
logo and that about it and back to S.M. menu. MS kb 330181 does not say much
except re-installing it. Thanks

When you installed the new card, did you go to the BIOS setup and
disable the on-board card? I was just thinking you might have had
better results with the install if you had.

Have you now you reinstalled the legacy card in the BIOS? (Just an idea
or two..)

When I try to follow MS 319136, I get this message 'The file ACPI .sys is
corrupted. Pree any key to continue' which will bring me back to S.M.

If I do the recovery, this mess will appear ' File setupdd.sys could not be
loaded. The code error is 4.............

Did not feedle with the bios except to change the boot seuence.,,,,,,,,,,,,,
