system32\config\system file??

Computer crashed last night and Im getting the following error message when
booting.

Missing or corrupt file

windows\system32\config\system

What should I do or what can I do to save my files? Can I copy and replace
that file?

Please help

Thanks guys! I have read a few posts in here about this and I will try these
methods. I really need to get back files that are on my workstation.
