In WinXP Prof is a folder C:\System Volume Information.

Access to it is denied.

(I have no passwords set thus no intrusive Administrator Rights - to which I
have a fundamental objection on my own PC where I, not Evil Emperor Zurg -
errrrr sorry - Bill Gates, am Bossus Pontifex Maximus)

TIA

That's the System Restore archive. Access is denied because there's nothing
useful you can do to it's contents, though you could easily compromise it's
ability to do it's job.

Pemo,

This folder stores the Windows XP System Restore snapshots and there is no need for an user to access this folder. If you want to gain access to this folder, see: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=309531
