is way to important to just delete :-) is there a way to
back it up and replace the files? or do you have any
other suggestions to my problem. i have "Mcafee virus

System Volume Information is a folder, not a file. Why do you think
there's a virus in there? Ordinarily only system processes can access it
at all. If you're logged on as an administrator and assign the
appropriate permissions to the folder, you'll be able to see the contents.
The only thing that should be present is a single file named tracking.log,
which despite its name is a binary file. I understand that XP uses it for
system restore information as well.
