I keep getting the following error message when I switch on my computer:-
'Tray Application'
Tray application has encountered a problem and need to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience.
This refers to a Norton item but is this a Norton problem or a Microsoft
problem?
Any ideas as to how I correct this annoying error?

Many thanks to those who have helped me in the past

Thanks for the suggestion but when running sfc/scannow I was asked for my
Windows xp disk but as I have since downloaded SP2 my CD is an older version
of that which is installed on my computer. Any other ideas-is this a
Microsoft problem or a Symantec one?
Any other ideas
Thanks for you help

Thanks for the suggestion

When running sfc/scannow I was asked to instert my Windows xp CD but as I
have downloaded SP2 my CD is older than the Windows I have loaded and is of
no use.

Any other ideas-I would be most grateful
