clean system tray for audio software

Tony

Hi
Im running cubase(audio production software)on my laptop and every time,
before I start the program, I close all the programs/applications down in the
system tray:
Norton antivirus
Printer/scanner monitor
Wireless connections etc
Is there a quick way to do this?
For example create a new user with no programs running so I could just log
off then on as different user with a cleaner system tray when using the audio
software?
Laptop with Windows xp home

Thanks

Tony

Probably wont help since many apps are installed for all users
Create a batch file to close the apps & save this to the desktop

You can trim back Startups & Watchdogs, but some things in your
list are service based and not easy to control on a profile basis. If
additional memory doesn't meet the program's requirements there
are other ways to fine tune a Windows XP system to optimize the
system for specific uses. For one thing Norton ____ is a resource
hog that impacts any PC it's used on.

Yeah Im aware of tweaking the system for audio use,
but the problem I have is I use the laptop for general use as well,
where i need all the apps, for security when surfing etc.
