Is there a decent system suite for XP - antivirus, firewall, etc. which has
inexpensive licensing for multiple machines?
I have four computers in my house, 2 desktops and 2 notebooks, so buying a
suite for each gets expensive each year. This becomes even more important
when you take into account the problems I had with upgrading and repairing
computers. I lost my "license" to some programs during the last year when I
replaced one computer and had to replace the harddrive on another. In each
case the internet update procedures decided I had the software on multiple
computers and either deactivated it or "limited" it. Even after trying to
explain what had happened to the software companies, I was told I needed to
purchase new licenses or I would be "pirating" their software. There has
to be a more reasonable solution.
