System Start Up - Error Message

I don't suppose I'll be able to successfully insert a graphic of the two
error messages I receive each time I turn on my PC. I use WindowXP and the
two error messages are described as follows;

The first error message is: (X) C:\WINDOWS\System32\mllmn.exe
"Windows cannot find "C\WINDOWS\System32\mllmn.exe' Make sure you typed the
name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start
button, and click Search."

The second error message is: /!\ Desktop
"Could not load or run 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\mllmn.exe' specified in the
registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference
to it in the registry."

I'm pretty new at this and would appreciate any help to resole this start up
issue.

Thank you,

It means your system is compromised, by malaware / Trojan / Virus
(trojan.Vundo)
Run an online scan at www.symantec.com or www.trendmicro.com
Install update & run MS Windows Defender, SpyBot & Adaware, all free.

Purchase a more robust anti virus / internet security solution
My prefered choice being F-Secure or Kaspersky

A Google Groups search showed no mention of that file, other than your
post. That suggests that some malware was removed, but the reference to
the file was not removed from the registry.

Click Start, Run, type REGEDIT, click OK. Press the Home key, press F3,
type the name of the file into the search pane. Click "Find Next", and
when located, delete the reference to the file. Press F3 to continue
the search.

You can click File, Export, and save the entry to the Desktop. If you
remove it and there's a problem, double-click the .reg file you exported
to the Desktop and it'll be added to the registry again. You can create
a restore point before editing the registry too.

You could click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG, click OK, click the StartUp
tab, and deselect the item(s). When you restart the computer, you will
be warned that you're running in the Diagnostic mode; click to not alert
you again, and OK out. You won't see the message again. But I think
it's best to just remove the references from the registry.
