System sounds

Is it possible to disable Windows XP Professional (OEM)
system sounds? When listening to music it is annoying to
hear every system sound while working. Thank you.

mmsys.cpl

go to "sounds"

Under sound schemes select No Sounds.

Start, Control Panel, Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices, Change the sound
scheme, Sounds, Sound scheme, select No Sounds from thedrop down.
