system shuts down

Do you get any error message before it
shuts down?
Have you ran a up to date virus scan?
We need a little more info before we
can help.
This is a link to a virus remove program

Hi,

This is the default action for a system fault, it's there to protect the pc.
Disable the behavior to produce a researchable error message. Control
Panel/System/advanced tab/startup and recovery 'settings', uncheck the line
to automatically restart on system failure. Next time it happens, you should
get a blue screen error message, post back with this information.

My system crashes involuntarily also, and this has always been unchecked.
I've never gotten a blue screen.
 
Hi Betsy,

Start/run eventvwr.msc and check the system logs. Often, the 'help and
support' link within the error will lead to a solution.
