System seem to hang

i start aol, get online. cant access websites through aol, so i open IE.I
double click on it, and nothing, so i click on it again, nothing. Do a ctrl
alt delete, nothing comes up, sit there five mins, then bang, all of a
sudden, all the programs i have asked to run, open simuaintusly. Help please.
No virus, spyware or adware. This only happen when after i have opened aol.
tried AOL8 but still did it. I think it was an update that done it, But which
one.......

have u tried using that AOL Computer Check-Up thing try the fix browser
option and check my computer--it helped me--though dont know if u tried it

hear is something for you do u have problems with viruses getting through
onto your com--i am having heeps of trouble the com store says it is aol 9
software stopping most all antivirus software from working right--though when
asked aol deny it--this is the 3rd time in 2 months my com has been buggered
up because of this--the store says they are getting over 15 coms a day --aol
users with same problems--even busineses eg one was a loyer have u heard
anything to this effect thanks hope you get your prob sorted
