System Restore's Rollback will not restore...

I got a Maxtor One-Touch III backup drive, and it came with System Rollback
on It's menu-I needed to,you guessed it-Roll Back to an eariler date-but
neither XP's or Maxtor's would do anything-Maxtor's said system did not
rollback, and XP's did not say or do anything-any help? Mike Rocco...

highlighted calendar dates.
