system restore

when i try to use or open anything that has anything to do with system
restore i get a message that says:
an exception occured while trying to run
"C:\windows\system32\shell.32dll,control_rundll.
"C\windows\system32\system.cpl,"system"
it then will let me send an error report, but thats all that happens

Reinstall system restore.

1. Insert the Windows XP CD
2. Click Start/Run and type:
"rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf"
