System Restore

Hi, I have used home premium OS for six months, all of a sudden I cannot
restore, it comes up with, system did not restore "unspecified error",
anyone know of a remedy for this.

Start your PC in Safe Mode and do a System Restore from there.

In the future start a new thread when asking a different question.

Stilty,
NIS has a self preservation setting that is meant to stop virus' from
shutting it down. Now it has been a long time since I last used NIS, but
if you search around in the program settings you will find something
about program protection, or something similar. This must be turned off,
or disabled in order to make system restore work properly.
This, and many other reasons, is why many experienced users have turned
away from Symantec products.
