System Restore

When i try to create a manual restore point i get the following message: "The
creation of a shadow copy has timed out (0x81000101)"
why cant i create a restore point?

I seem to recall reading something about this error a few months ago. From
memory, I believe if 'One Care' is active, this can impact establishing a
Manual Restore Point. I will 'dig' around in my files and see if I can
locate any further information on this one.

Do you have ANY protection of that sort? That is, like Norton Internet
Security and so forth? If you do, what you need to do is disable that, and
then shadow copy will work. HTH
