System restore?

my laptop is moving very slow, i ran a scan on the windows defender, it comes
up with a med-high threat but it wont let me erase it. Im trying to restore
my computer to the day i bought it ...factory settings. or does any one have
any suggestions on how to clean up, fix, anything???????????

What is the name of this threat?

also, did you install any drivers or programs or change settings just before
the problem happened. It may not be related to the threat and trying a
system restore to before the problem (which you can reverse) to see if there
is an improvement could be worth the time.
