system restore

When I try to start system restore I get an error message
saying it has run into a problem and will not start. How
do I get it to work?

Go to control Panel - Admin tools - Services, look for the System
Restore service, and highlight. Click on Start (or restart) on the
left, and see if that works.

If it does not, ensure you can see hidden files, then go to
windows\inf\sr.inf, right click it and take Install to reinstall System
restore
