Can anyone tell me where System Restore saves the
restores file? and can I move the file to another
partition for safe keeping?
 
Hi

You can backup/restore your Registry with a very good program called ERunt. You can restore the Registry in 'DOS' with this program if your system isn't bootable for any reason. It is not a replacement for SR, but can get your PC up and running if the Registry has become corrupted for any reason:
