If by "fresh install" you mean cleanly, formatting the drive - no, short
of sending the drive to a recovery firm like DriveSavers. When you
format the drive, you've gotten rid of all the data that was on it.
What you should do is back up all your data onto removable media or
another hard drive or partition first. Outlook has an export function.
Then format the drive and install XP. Then install your programs. Use
Outlook's import function.
