System Restore

I don't like automatic downloading and installation. That's why I turned off
this "feature" when it comes to System Restore. I then go to the Windows
system restore site, but there are no details (like: size, date, what the
file/program actually does) of the file there. Where can I find details?

Thank you,

auto downloading of windows updates and the request(countdown?) to
restart.

yes it is annoying.

I set windows to notify me but not automatically download and install
them.

i've never heard of what you're talking about regarding system
restore, maybe you got things mixed up.

There is a Windows update site. nothing to do with system restore
You should be able to read a little bit about what udpates you choose
to use, but typically I don't see much point. Recommended security
updates should be installed

You can get a description of updates when you click the yellow
exclamation mark shield that notifies you, you can select custom
install, then it lists all the updates with an explanation of each.
Prob no need to go to the windows update site
