SYSTEM RESTORE

System Restore doesn't work. I can open it fine. [Start - All Programs
- Accessories - System Tools - System Restore]. However, I cannot move
the month or year, so I cannot access restore points that I made last
year.

What is going on here and how can I fix things?

Thank you.

P.S. I have WinXP with S.P.2.

How would I set System Restore to save restore points older than 90
days - let's say up to a year?

And can I set System Restore to automatically save every week, instead
of every day? If so, how?

By design restore points older than 90 days are deleted.

Hi Barry,

Changing the amount of days restore points stored can be changed by
editing the registry.

But this is a very bad idea. Restoring back that far would revert every
setting made, and corrupt any application installed after the restore
point being restored to.

A better approach would be to create an image of the partitions.
