I need to restore my xp system to May 27; however, the last restore
point is May 28. Any ideas on what to do?
You must either have reduced the disk space allocated to System
Restore to a very small value or you have made a massive number of
changes to the computer in the last couple of days.
When the System Restore archive reaches the maximum size allotted to
it then it purges the oldest restore points until it frees up enough
space to add the current restore point. There is no way to recover
these older restore points once they have been purged from the
archives.
Normally a System Restore allottment of 600 to 800 mb of disk space
will provide for 10 days to 2 weeks worth of restore points under
normal usage conditions.
