System Restore

Neville

I got a virus on my PC the other day, sorry didn't get the name, when I
tried to restore to a previous date there were no restore points, but I know
I had some, could it have deleted them?

is it possible to save restore points to another drive?

thanks
Neville

Typically what I have seen from viruses have been that you
download their virus extraction tool, disable system
restore, reboot in safe mode, execute the removal tool,
update your virus definitions and restart your system
normally. If you have a virus, system restore will not
restore as if the virus never showed up. You may be
thinking of executing a backup before you contracted the
virus. System Restore, as I understand it, merely fixes
changes in settings and software changes. Please correct
me if I am wrong!

Regards!
