System Restore wont restore

My system restore will not restore my PC to any of the restore point. I can see and choose a specific date to restore to. By PC shows it is restoring but once it reboots the system restore window pops up and says it cannot restore my PC to date XX/XX/XXXX. I have tried several different dates and get the same results. Any suggestions?

Maybe your sysetm restoe is swithced off right click my
computer and see if system restore is ticked off

Hi

One or more of the System Restore files could have been corrupted - try
turning SR off/on - but you will lose any existing checkpoints:

Right click My Computer, select Properties and then the System Restore tab.
Enable 'Turn off System Restore on all drives' and reboot your PC. After
that 1st reboot go back into SR and disable 'Turn off System Restore on all
drives' and reboot your PC again. After that 2nd reboot you should have one
new SR checkpoint.

i don't even know how to use this site??? be i'm having the same problem as kylel
-- i 'm ready to take my system and throw it out the window. i tried to follow the instructions that i printed from mcafee tech chat but i think (know) i screwed up bad. i need help asap
