System restore task running but....

Hi

Might be missing something really obvious here & I'm not the most technical
of bods so please be kind with your responses ;)

When I go to run a System restore my restore point options are limited to
the ones that are visible are the ones that appear are those that occur when
there's a Window Update or I've installed something. The ones that take place
daily via my Scheduled Tasks are not visible. Should they be? I want them to
be!

I've checked my Scheduled Tasks & the SR does take place at the designated
time.

Any ideas or am I expecting something that can't happen - nothing new there
them ;)

My apologies for not checking before sending, as not much of the above makes
sense. Try again.

The Restore Points that are visible are those that were created by the
system prior to a Windows Update or if I've installed something. Were are the
daily ones?

Thanks in advance

First, are you dual booting with Windows XP as such a setup will delete
Vista restore points? Second, are you running any system cleanup utilities
or do you have some application that has such a function that runs
periodically as it might be deleting restore points?

Usually, the scheduled SR would show in System Restore as "System Scheduled
Checkpoint."
